Conference Scholarhips
For the purposes of the 2013 Biennial Conference, the IHPST Council will provide a total of at most six scholarships (waivers of conference registration fees). Applicants for these scholarships must be IHPST members (faculty or students) in good standing at the time of their application. IHPST elected officers (including members of the nominating committee), IHPST Conference Scholarship Committee reviewers, and previous biennial conference scholarship recipients all ineligible. Decisions will be made by a committee appointed by the IHPST Council and in accordance with the Council’s Standard Operating Procedure outlining the scholarship. Applications will be ranked primarily with reference to the financial need of the applicant, whether the applicant will be presenting at the conference, distance the applicant must travel to the conference site, and a statement of how the applicant (and his/her host institution) will profit from attending the conference.
Applications must be submitted electronically by 1 March 2013. Decisions will be made by 22 March 2013. (Recipients must tell the committee by 29 March 2013 whether they will accept the scholarship. In the event one or more is turned down by the recipient, the scholarship will be awarded to the next ranked candidate.)
